As Senior Director of Engineering and Software at Global Health Labs (GH Labs), Dan leverages over 20 years of experience in research and product development, user-centered design, and mechanical and thermo-fluid systems to lead his team to develop next generation medical devices and diagnostic tools that strengthen healthcare delivery in low- and middle-income countries.

Prior to GH Labs, Dan served as a Principal Investigator and, before that, mechanical engineer at Global Good, an investment fund of Intellectual Ventures. Previously, Dan worked for nearly a decade at Exponent, an engineering consulting firm focused on failure analysis and product design. In addition, Dan has held part-time faculty positions at the University of Southern California and at École des Métiers de l'Aérospatiale de Montréal.

Dan earned his PhD and MS in Aeronautics from the California Institute of Technology and a BEng from McGill University.
